Three delicious and easy camping recipes


In camp, you have to put up with snacks and dehydrated dinners. Nor should we cook like a chore. Using a few simple camping recipes you might as well eat your house. Part of the fun of camping is to try different ways and forms of cooking. Here are three tasty recipes to try.

CAMP stew.

Ingredients.

One and a half pounds of ground beef.

Two medium carrots.

A half> Ui.

Five medium potatoes.

A large tin of peas.

A package of onion soup mix.

Instructions.

Brown the meat in a large frying pan until golden brown. Chop the carrot, onion and potatoes, and add the meat. Bring all ingredients to blend soup with enough water to cover. Season with salt and pepper and cook with the lid until the potatoes are tender. Add the peas and cook another five to ten minutes toare hot.

HOBO DINNER Baked.

Ingredients.

Four medium potatoes.

An onion.

A pound of ground meat.

A quarter cup of water.

Instructions.

Peel and slice the potatoes and onion. Put the meat in a bowl and add water, mix well together and add the potatoes and onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the dough into three or four portions and wrap in double thickness of aluminum foil.Place on a medium hot grill for about forty minutes with care movement. Carefully open and serve with bread rolls.

Chicken in foil.
Ingredients.

A small green pepper, chopped.

Half a small red bell pepper, chopped.

Ten mushrooms, chopped.

A teaspoon of butter or margarine

Four chicken breasts.

One can of sliced pineapple.

Four sixteen-inch square of aluminum foil.

Instructions.

Divide the peppers andmushrooms into four equal parts. Coat a small area in the center of each piece of aluminum foil with butter or margarine. Place a portion of the pepper and mushrooms in greased aluminum foil, place the chicken on top and a slice of pineapple on top of chicken. Season with salt and pepper and fold foil tightly so there are no leaks. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, so four individual servings. Place on hot grill or charcoal for aboutFifteen minutes, then the turnover is ten to fifteen minutes.

These are just three simple recipes to try camping, but with a little 'imagination and some trial and error, I'm sure you will be able to process more of your own.

Three Tasty And Easy Camping Recipes

When you are camping out you do not have to put up with snacks and dehydrated dinners. Nor do you have to make cooking seem like a chore. Using a few easy camping recipes you can eat as well as you do at home. Part of the fun of camping is experimenting with different ways and types of cooking. Below are three tasty recipes for you to try.

CAMP STEW.

Ingredients.

One and a half pound of ground beef.

Two medium sized carrots.

One medium sized onion.

Five medium sized potatoes.

One large tin of peas.

One packet of onion soup mix.

Instructions.

Cook the meat in a large pan until nicely browned. Chop the carrots, onion, and potatoes, and add to the meat. Make up the soup mix with enough water to cover all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook with the lid on until the potatoes are tender. Add the peas and simmer for a further five to ten minutes until they are hot.

HOBO DINNER IN FOIL.

Ingredients.

Four medium sized potatoes.

One onion.

One pound of ground beef.

Quarter of a cup of water.

Instructions.

Peel and slice the potatoes, and the onion. Place the ground beef into a container and add the water, mix together well and then add the potatoes and onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide into three or four portions and wrap with double thickness of tin foil. Place onto a medium to hot grill for about forty minutes, carefully moving occasionally. Open with caution and serve with some bread rolls.

CHICKEN IN FOIL.
Ingredients.

One small green pepper, chopped.

Half of a small red pepper, chopped.

Ten button mushrooms, chopped.

One teaspoon of butter or margarine

Four chicken breasts.

One can of pineapple slices.

Four sixteen inch squares of tin foil.

Instructions.

Divide the peppers and mushrooms into four equal portions. Coat a small area in the centre of each piece of tin foil with the butter or margarine. Place one portion of the peppers and mushrooms onto the greased area of tin foil, place the chicken breast on top and a pineapple slice on top of the chicken breast. Season with salt and pepper and fold tin foil over securely so there are no leaks. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients so you have four individual servings. Place onto hot grill or coals for approximately Fifteen minutes, then turnover for another ten to fifteen minutes.

These are just three easy camping recipes for you to try out, but with a little imagination and some trial and error, I am sure that you will be able to come up with many more of your own.
