Home Remedies For Earache and Ear Infections

Have you ever experienced the terrible pain of an earache? You must be interested then in my home remedies for earache collection. Let's see now the home remedies: My easiest, absolutely safe and well proved home herbal remedy, actually a kitchen remedy is:

The Chopped Onion (Allium cepa) Bag

Cut a middle-sized raw cooking onion into small pieces and stuff them into a small, thin, children cotton sock.
Warm it up (with a blow dryer) to body temperature.
Place a cotton wool swab on the aperture of the ear.
Fasten the warm onion bag to the painful ear with a woolen scarf or hat. (Use only natural materials, like cotton, wool, flax or silk.)
Leave the compress on about 30 minutes (depending on personal sensitivity) and use it 2-3 times a day (but always chop a new, fresh onion.)

As smelly as effective it is. It can cope with severe ear pain and beginning stages of middle ear infection. Another good, but stinky option is: Garlic (Allium sativa) Oil Drop

Put a drop of warm garlic oil e.g. from a capsule on a cotton wool swab and place it like a plug in the opening of the ear.
Leave it for 30-40 minutes in the ear and use it several times a day.

It can be as effective as onion bag and useful for outer ear canal infections and inflammations as well. In case of itching, burning or any type of inconvenience remove the oily cotton wool immediately. NEVER drop essential oil or raw garlic juice into the ear canal!! You can make garlic warm infused oil by yourself: Mince one large bulb fresh garlic and put in the top of a double boiler. Pour in enough olive oil to cover the garlic and warm gently for an hour. Cool, strain through a muslin or cheesecloth and keep in a sealed bottle in the fridge. But warm it in a spoon over a candle until it is comfortably warm if you use it for your ears. You can use it on your salads as well, it's delicious.

If you or your child hate the smell of onion or garlic, another useful choice is: Mullein (Aaron's rod, Verbascum thapsus) Oil Use a few drops of infused mullein oil on a cotton wool swab and insert it into the ear. It can cope with milder pains. It is really simple to make mullein cold infused oil:

fill a clear glass jar with the dried or fresh mullein flowers (ca.30g)
cover with 1 cup of olive or sesame oil and fill the jar almost to the top
cover the top of the jar as tightly as you can to exclude the air which can quickly turn the oil rancid
leave the jar on a warm and sunny place (windowsill) for 2 or 3 weeks shaking it daily
strain the oil through a wine press or jelly bag
wring out all the oil
pour the liquid into a clean glass container, close airtight and use it for at least one year or often more

NEVER FORGET to UNBLOCK the NOSE! The simplest and safest way is by seawater nose-spray or salt water solution. Put some sea salt into a tablespoon of tap water, it should taste like tears. Your nose drops are ready! And now, my favorites, the Homeopathic Medicines! My best, nearly always working, remedy combination (I often suggest it on the phone):

Belladonna C12
Ferrum-phosphoricum C12

2-3 pills every two hours alternately for one day. (Let the pills dissolve under the tongue. Don't eat or drink 5 minutes before and after taking the remedy.) You can use the internal homeopathic medication in combination with the external compresses and oils. If symptoms persist after one day, consult a homeopath or a doctor!

A useful diet tip: avoid dairy products (cow's milk, butter, cheese, yogurt...) during middle ear infection, because they increase the mucus production.

Certain Hair Loss Causes Can Be Solved With Simple, Affordable Remedies

In this day and age most of us do not have a ton of money to go spending on the latest treatment for thinning hair. If you take a look at what many of those clinics are charging for such things as hair transplants, you can quickly see why so many people are tolerating a bald head.

You can end up spending thousands and hundreds of dollars on something that just might not work to regrow your hair. Before you do that though, consider the use of natural remedies to boost hair growth. They are not just affordable solutions for those who do not want to chunk out a lot of their money. They are also useful and effective means of preventing and treating hair loss when done correctly.

For instance garlic cloves and onion cloves are very cheap food ingredients that contain the mineral sulphur. Sulphur is a very good mineral for increasing the growth of your hair. All you have to do is take a clove of either garlic or onion, chop it in half, and rub the pulps of the two onto your scalp.

This will send a direct surge of sulphur deep into your hair follicle roots. Most people would shy away from doing this because of the smell, which is why you can also take some coconut milk and use it as a home remedy for your hair.

By adding some chopped garlic to the mixture and rubbing it into the scalp, it will help mask the smell of the garlic. You'll still be able to make a nice hair loss treatment from it that will not cost you a fortune, or make your hair and scalp smell bad.

How to Cure an Ear Infection With Home Remedies

Before we begin talking about the cure of ear infections remember it is always important to identify the symptoms and know what you are dealing with before trying any treatment. I have suffered from ear infections since I was very little and now unfortunately, both of my children have already had multiple infections. We were tired of making numerous trips to the doctor each month so my grandmother gave me some of her home remedies that have worked like a charm! We have tried everything and these are among the best treatments that I have personally tried! Needless to say we have not been back to the doctor for treatment of an ear infection.

Garlic and Olive Oil Treatment.

You are going to need 4 Large Tablespoons of garlic. Some water some olive oil enough to fully cover the bottom of a sauce pan chop up some onion let it simmer (stir occasionally) until the garlic looks chunky and dry then strain the juice into a bowl or cup and use an eye dropper or syringe and put it into your ear, hold your head sideways for about 5-10 min. Then tilt your head and let the remaining juice come out. You can also place a cotton ball in the ear.

Lemon Juice Treatment

For really bad ear aches/infections squeeze lemon juice in your ear, keep it in for a few seconds, then let it drain out. I usually place a towel or cotton ball over the ear because this gets pretty sticky! The lemon helps to change the Ph levels in your ear. The bacteria is a base, and if you add the lemon, which is an acid, it neutralizes the Ph levels in your ear so that the bacteria cannot live in there!

Onion Treatment

Warm grated onion slightly in microwave, and drop a few drops of juice into ear with dropper. I used this with both my children when they were infants and it worked immediately! The stopped crying and were able to sleep!

Garlic, Oil and Colloidal Silver Treatment

Put few drops of garlic juice into the infected ear. Use blow dryer from about 12 to 15 inches from your head, this will remove any water trapped in the Eustachian tube. Put some olive oil on the warm spoon; put 2 to 3 drops of this in each ear. Put few drops of lobelia extract into the infected ear and rub it gently. Wash your ear using colloidal silver, it is a natural antibiotic. Slightly warm one teaspoon of juice of the mango leaf and put it into the infected ear drop by drop.

Steam Facial Treatment

Another great home remedy for ear infections involves draping a towel over the head and sitting over a bowl containing hot steaming water and essential oils. There are more then one type of oils that will benefit you, including ginger, peppermint, and eucalyptus. This home remedy is called a steam facial and can help clear up congestion and other symptoms that can aggravate ear infections.

A Few Cold And Flu Remedies Passed On To Me By A Wicca Witch

It is that time of year again colds and flu are just around the corner, of course according to me I never get a cold it is always flu.

These are just a few home made recipes passed on by my good ladies cousin, she is a Wicca witch, but do not worry these ladies are not the scary witches you see in the movies.

She does not live out in the country in a hovel, far from it she resides in a block of flats in my home city.

We never buy any of the cold and flu remedies from the chemist shop, instead we use natures pharmacy.

Obviously if your symptoms get no better after a few days it may be time to visit the doctor.

1. Onion and honey cough syrup.

This is not really a cough medicine as such because you could put it directly onto potatoes or your favourite vegetables. But personally I like to take it by the spoonful as many times as required.

Cooking this mixture up could not be easier, use a small saucepan chop a yellow skinned onion, add a cup of honey and a tablespoon of thyme, as much as you want if you can get it fresh, cook until the onion is soft, that is it job done.

Research has proven that onions and garlic irritate the lining of the stomach, this in turn forces the lungs to release a secretion that thins the thick mucus that makes you feel ill.

When peeling onions they make your eyes water this is the same action working, but it is getting rid of the sticky mucus in the lungs.

2. Thyme is an age old remedy, boil it up with some honey and drink as a tea, effective against laryngitis.

3. I remember an old remedy my dear old mother used on us as kids to relieve coughing.

Chop an onion place it in the oven to heat up then wrap it in a cloth, make sure it is not to hot and place directly on the chest, if you are using this on a child it may help to tape it on.

The fumes from the onion will stop any cough dead in it's tracks, fair comment the bedroom and you will stink the next day, but hey you have had a good nights sleep.

4. Lemons and honey are another great remedy, squeeze a couple of lemons heat with a teaspoon of honey, and drink the mixture, this is an excellent way to help ease sore throats.

5. Another Wicca remedy I have tried and I would sooner have the flu, take some elder-flowers fresh or dried boil them up and make a tea, drink hot. Good luck with this one I have never tasted anything like it, totally disgusting.

This seems a bit strange it has nothing to do with Wicca, I do not know how it works but it did for me.

Although I think maybe you should get medical advise before trying this, as I am not responsible I am just passing on the information.

There has been research done, I believe many years ago, that says cold and flu bugs enter through the ears.

This is certainly not what we have been taught, do you remember all of the adverts and posters coughs and sneezes spread diseases, yes as far as we knew we inhaled these bugs.

Although I am convinced this remedy works I am not prepared to put my name to it, but the information is out there if you require it.

But the best remedy of all go to bed for a couple of days, get well wrapped up and have someone run around after you.

Convince them that alcohol is the perfect cure, and get them to make you a few hot toddies, read a good book and sleep a lot.

Three Natural Home Remedies For melasma, pigmentation and age spots

Dark spots and stains on the skin can be a difficult and unpleasant. Skin pigmentation, spots and melasma are difficult to treat. There is no shortage of fading creams on the market - many of which are at risk and do more harm than good, as with hydroquinone. Others are simply ineffective and a waste of time and money. But there is a possibility that a simple natural home remedies just the answer you're seeking.

When Iobserved the blackout on my forehead, known in my late twenties, not what it was. Was dirty? It would not wash! I did some research and was determined Melasma - as a place of age is a type of hyperpigmentation on the skin.

Stains are usually large freckles darker. Melasma is an area of patchy dark skin, often on the forehead, temples and cheeks. Both age spots and melasma can be treated with the same type of flash solutions.

FromI am the type of girl who knows a good remedy to enjoy at home, I threw myself headlong into research and came upon some simple natural treatments to try to make the dark spots on my face.

Vinegar: vinegar diluted with water, once, and use to clean and wash the face. Air dry to seal in moisture. Or use the vinegar / water mixture in place of an astringent or toner. Vinegar is made chemically stable, and is the whitening and brightening, and the skin smooth and ablebeaming. It is also used for a long time for a softening of the skin. Or other natural cider vinegar are recommended, although some people use distilled white vinegar.

Get onion juice: For onion juice, you can chop an onion, or mixture, then press the juice through cheesecloth. Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar twice a day apply with a cotton ball and look out for results in the coming weeks. Alternatively, you can cut a piece ofCipolla, dip in vinegar, and pigmentation.

Apply lemon juice: fresh lemon juice has a similar effect on pigmentation as the remedy onion - is acidic and can easily peel the top layer of the skin, causing spots to fade.

Onions, vinegar and lemon juice are excellent home remedies to relieve you of age spots, melasma, pigmentation and discoloration. I found this very effective treatment to lighten several weeks --I did not like was the smell of onions. Although a bit big, I did not want to have your hands stink and for life, so I learned so much more natural remedies to fight for my melasma.
